- A shout out to Isabella King, the recipient of the Jenny Thompson Female Athlete of the Year Award at The Leader's annual celebration at the Manchester Country Club on Sunday. The former Bedford High School girls basketball player was honored as one of the top New Hampshire sports figures. When she was a senior guard for the Bulldogs, King led her team in scoring for the Bulldog's playoff run to the 2020-2021 Division I championship. King just completed her freshman season at Bucknell University as the Division I Player of the Year. - Bedford High School junior Cora Steichen was behind the creation of the Humane Education Library at the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire as part of her Eagle Scout Project. Funded by a Volunteer NH-Volunteer Generation Fund Grant and individual supporters, Cora imagined, created, designed, self-funded, and brought to life the Humane Education Library for children. - Bedford's Primary Bank announced a new branch location at 327 Amherst St. in Nashua. The bank's grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday was attended by N.H. Governor Chris Sununu, U.S. Sen. Maggie Hassan, Nashua Mayor Jim Donchess, and the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce. It's the bank’s fourth branch in New Hampshire.
