Here are the top stories in Bedford today:
- If you were heading to Merrimack early Tuesday morning on Route 3, you may have been tied up in traffic. Just before 6 a.m., a car heading south on Daniel Webster Highway crashed into a utility pole in front of the Merrimack Fire Department, knowing it down, then crashed through a guardrail landing at the bottom of an embankment near the Souhegan River. The road was closed for several hours until the accident was cleared. The driver, a 32-year-old Massachusetts woman, was taken to the Elliott Hospital with serious injuries. If you have any information about the accident, call Officer Kevin Manuele or Officer Tyler Colcord at 603-424-3774. (WMUR Manchester)
- After two years of isolation, Palm Beachers' have been celebrating in-person weddings. One couple had their wedding and reception at our very own Bedford Village Inn! Maria Louise Manning and David Michael Corn exchanged vows at the BVI on Jan. 8, followed by a reception. The announcement appeared May 3 in The Palm Beach Daily news, with fun details of the wedding. The bride's gown was Pronovias couture with an heirloom veil, the bride and groom were both athletes at Clark University, and the happy couple traveled from Bedford to their honeymoon in Hawaii.
