Don't Forget! Bow Wow Bedford is this Weekend

Here are 5 things you should know today.

1. Bow Wow Bedford. Bedford residents are invited to bring their four-legged friends to the Animal Rescue League, on Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., for a $19 rabies clinic and discounts for Bedford residents for Micro chipping.

2. Snail Mail back to six days a week? After government legislators decided to cut U.S. Postal Service mailing down to Monday through Friday service earlier this year, the decision was reversed yesterday after a successful bipartisan effort. Read more here.

3. The weatherman says ... after last night's showers, more rain may dampen today. The forecast calls for a cloudy day with a high of 50 degrees, according to Weather.com. Some showers are possible throughout the day with a 30-percent chance of precipitation. Tonight's low is 37 degrees with a 50-percent chance of rain.

4. On the Agenda. The Bedford Cemetery Trustees are scheduled to meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Town Office Building. The water & sewer committee meeting, originally scheduled for 7:45 a.m. at the BCTV Bedford Town Meeting Room has been cancelled.

5. Lace 'em up! On Saturday, May 18, the 39th running of the Bedford Rotary Races will take place at Bedford High School. Register online for the 5K or 12K run through www.rotarybedfordnh.com, or print the application and mail it in. Tees for the first 400 registrants, and walkers are welcome in the 5K.
