Home Invasion Suspect Also Charged in Violent Crime in Mass.
Mass. man has long history of burglaries, assault and other violent crimes.

After months of speculation by Bedford residents and members of the media, a suspect was named Friday afternoon in the violent attack that left a Bedford doctor and his wife bloodied inside their 7 Proclamation Court home last November.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Charles Normil, 32, who has a last known address of Lawrence, Mass. He faces multiple counts of attempted murder, first degree assault and one count of aggravated felonious sexual assault in the November 2012 home invasion of Dr. Eduardo Quesada and his late wife, Sonia.
Hillsborough County Attorney Patricia LaFrance explained at a Friday press conference that Normil is currently being held in Massachusetts on unrelated charges.

WMUR-TV is reporting that Normil has been booked in Methuen, Mass. on multiple counts, including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and larceny over $250, in connection with another home invasion.
Normil has a long arrest history for burglaries and other similar charges, and WMUR reports he was convicted for a string of thefts inside occupied Rye homes in 2009. Though he was given a sentence of 2.5-10 years in New Hampshire State Prison, it is not known at this time why he was released.

LaFrance, at Friday's press conference, also discussed a second suspect who is currently in federal custody. She did not provide additional details.
Police and prosecutors are currently awaiting Normil's extradition to New Hampshire, at which time he'll be formally charged with the crimes associated with the Nov. 24, 2012 Bedford home invasion.
Normil allegedly violently and sexually assaulted the home's occupants, according to Bedford Police Chief John Bryfonski.
"Dr. Quesada was stabbed multiple times in the head with a screwdriver, resulting in facial fractures, lacerations and bleeding on the brain," said Bryfonski. "Sonia Quesada was sexually and physically assaulted multiple times, resulting in the loss of eye sight in her left eye."
More than a month later, in an incident that Bryfonski said appears to be unrelated, Sonia Quesada was found dead in her mother-in-law's Bedford home. Her husband was unconscious nearby. An autopsy provided no evidence of homicide, though her death was deemed unatural.
The investigation into the initial burglary and assault picked up steam on April 9 when dive teams from New Hampshire Fish and Game – in a coordinated effort with Bedford PD, NH State Police and the FBI – searched ponds in Amherst and Milford and reportedly found evidence connected with the case.
