- Higher Social Security payouts are possible for some people by using 401(k) savings as a bridge, and delaying receiving their Social Security benefits, said financial advisors in an AARP Planning For Retirement article. Each year they wait to collect they can get an 8 percent increase, advisors said, but added that not everyone is eager to tap into long-term savings. Michael Solari, principal in Solari Financial Planning in Bedford, New Hampshire, explained there is concern and worry about running out of money," adding that some clients may have already experienced this with their parents. - If you want to remodel your kitchen, you can experience the Showroom of the Future in Bedford. People leave the comfort of their homes to visit a physical showroom to experience products firsthand, said Frank Morris, Jr., a principal at Granite State Cabinetry in Bedford, N.H. He said customers visit their newly renovated 6,000 square foot showroom to get to know what they are like as a company. The new showroom features several design themes where customers can create dream boards, and it has a working kitchen where they sponsor dinners prepared by celebrity chefs. - One of three egg-cellent activities this weekend will be in Bedford. The 13th annual indoor maze and egg hunt will take place at the indoor soccer field at the NH Sportsplex, on 68 Technology Drive, Bedford from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Children of all ages will find 10,000 prized-filled Easter eggs. The event will also feature pictures with the Easter bunny and children's games and craft activities. The cost is $8 per person, or $28 for a family of 4, and can be purchased online. If any tickets are not sold out, they will be sold at the door for $10/$32.
