How Much Did BVI Benefit Raise for Boston Marathon Bombing Victim?
Bedford Village Inn sold 'Jeff's Bag' desserts last weekend.
The wait is over for those eager to find out how much money the Bedford Village Inn raised for Boston Marathon bombing victim Jeff Bauman, who lost both legs in the attack.
The BVI, last Thursday through Sunday, sold "Jeff's Bag" desserts – a blueberry modification of its already popular Chocolate Bag.
Yesterday, the popular local restaurant announced on its Facebook page that the benefit had raised nearly $26,000, which will go toward medical bills and other needs for Bauman and his family as he recovers from his injuries during this understandably tough time.

Bedford Village Inn ownership, in addition to expressing their appreciation to the hundreds of patrons who contributed to the benefit, extended a special thanks to New Hampshire Restaurant Equipment, which donated additional refrigerators and equipment to the BVI to help make and store the desserts; to LaCaretta of Derry proprietor Eddie Lyon, who also played a large role in helping with the promotion; and Maria Borino of Nashua's Pizzeria Borino.
