Manchester NH Murder Suspect Arrested In Massachusetts

MANCHESTER, NH — New Hampshire Deputy Attorney General Jane E. Young and Manchester Police Chief Allen D. Aldenberg announce that Timothy Johnson was arrested at approximately 12:39 p.m. on Wednesday in Framingham, Massachusetts.

Johnson, 38, is charged with one count of second-degree murder for knowingly causing Jean Lascelle’s death in Manchester, New Hampshire, by shooting him with a firearm on Saturday, Feb. 13.

Johnson is scheduled to appear before the Framingham District Court on Thursday. There, he will be arraigned on receiving a stolen motor vehicle, possession of burglarious instruments, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle from alleged crimes in the Bay State, as well as being a fugitive from justice from the state of New Hampshire.

U.S. Marshals and the Framingham Police Department assisted the Manchester Police Department and the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office in this investigation and aided in safely locating Johnson.

Manchester police and NH State Police have extensively searched the Manchester area since Saturday's shooting.
