National Crime Victims' Rights Week Continues

Here are 5 things you should know today.

1. National Crime Victims Awareness Week. Bedford Police Chief Bryfonski, last night, met with Bedford residents for two hours to discuss how Bedford Police assist victims of crime during a special monthly “Meet the Chief” community meeting at the Bedford Public Safety Complex. Earlier in the week, Bryfonski gathered at the safety complex flagpole with Captain Daniel Douidi, Lt. Scott Plumer, Lt. Micheal Bernard and Detective Lt. Michael Griswold for a moment of silence to recognize the victims of crime.

2. Also ... As part of the Bedford Police Department’s Community Policing Program, the department invites anyone seeking information regarding National Crime Victims’ Rights Weekor information, assistance and resources as a victim of crime to contact Officer Danielle Nightingale of the Bedford Police Department at 472-5113 or dnightingale@bedfordnh.org.

3. Operation Cookie. Local leaders of the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains gather in Bedford today to package and load a large truck with thousands of boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to ship to men and women serving the United States military overseas. The weatherman says ...  Today's weather offers partly cloudy skies and warmer temperatures, with a forecasted high of 71 degrees (23 degrees higher than Tuesday's high) and a 10-percent chance of rain, according to Weather.com. PM showers are possible, and the chance of rain remains at 30-percent, with a low of 47.
