Here are the top stories in Bedford today:

  1. Dartmouth-Hitchcock has delayed a hearing for their planned medical center in Bedford. Dartmouth-Hitchcock asked for the delay after Bedford voters overwhelmingly approved zoning changes last month that limits the size of large medical centers to two stories and 20,000 square feet in the town’s Performance Zone, in the area where Whole Foods Market is. Petition supporters say that under the new zoning amendment property owners can ask for waivers, which likely means that the nonprofit medical provider would have to pay full taxes. 2. Southbound commuters to Nashua or Massachusetts get ready for the Everett Turnpike widening project. On Wednesday, The Executive Council unanimously approved a $20 million multi-year project to widen the F.E. Everett Turnpike between Bedford and Nashua that will likely result in construction delays until the summer of 2024, when work is scheduled to be completed. Everett Turnpike widening is coming. (Concord Monitor)
  3. With Easter less than two weeks away, you can find old-fashioned Easter egg hunts, or attend a more elaborate event like the helicopter egg drop in Londonderry, where 1,500 eggs will be dropped from the sky. Restaurants in New Hampshire, including our own Bedford Village Inn, will be serving special Easter meals. If you're looking for take-out, several restaurants are offering special Easter takeout services. (wokq.com)
