Bedford Police and Fire officials are confirming this morning that a serious overnight accident occurred on Liberty Hill Road, near the Route 101 intersection. Bedford Fire Chief Scott Wiggin said emergency responders were dispatched the area of 2 Liberty Hill Road at 12:17 a.m. and found extensive damage to a motor vehicle upon arriving at the scene. Three people were transported to area hospitals, said Wiggin, though no additional details were offered in terms of the extent of the injuries. Bedford Police Lt. Scott Plumer told Bedford Patch that one one subject was taken into custody following the accident. Officers continue to investigate the scene and more information is expected shortly.
