As Wallace Road remains closed on the Merrimack town line, and construction and blasting have resumed near the new South River Road bridge, additional roadwork was announced by the town of Bedford today.
According to a notice on the Town of Bedford website, the contractor handling the Jenkins Road construction has scheduled the paving of the wearing course of asphalt between Smithfield Lane and Homestead Hill Road. Delays are expected and drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes.
