- The high school boy's tennis circuit promises plenty of excitement this season. Alverine High School Coach Mike Coulter (11th year) said his team is returning from a great season last year when they made it to the championships but fell short "to a very good Bedford team." We’re looking forward to a great upcoming season! (Lowell Sun)
- Students from the award-winning Holy Family Catholic School in Manchester said they have no conflict with science and religion. Holy Family Academy has competed against some of the best schools in the state: Phillips Exeter, St. Paul’s, and public schools in Bedford, Lebanon and Nashua. When student Maggie McGee of Concord, and juniors Michael Rennie of Manchester and Sean Sullivan of Nashua, discussed their science projects, senior McGee said the main goal at the 100-student Holy Family is to find truth, no matter what the topic. So, she sees no conflict between science and religion. You can read more here (with a subscription): (The Union Leader)
- Janice Belmont of Bedford, and her granddaughters Julia Waldman, 15, and Miriam Waldman, 11, both of Bedford, and close family friends from Bedford were making matzah a few days early on Sunday during a “Model Matzah Bakery” set up at Chabad Center for Jewish Living in Manchester. They learned how to bake “Shmurah Matzah,” a special type of matzah that is carefully supervised from planting the wheat to growing, harvesting, and baking to make sure "every part of it is 'pure for Passover’s holy purposes.'" The result was Matzah, an unleavened flat cracker. (The Union Leader)
