Here are 5 things you should know today.

1. Communications survey. The Bedford School District is soliciting feedback on the most preferred way to provide parents, educators, employees, and residents with information about the Bedford School District You're encouraged to take two minutes to complete a communications survey by clicking here to participate.

2. Thank you, Bedford! We not only reached 1,000 Facebook followers by the end of April, we crushed that goal yesterday, completing the day with 1,018 'Likes.' That's 39 new followers yesterday alone! Thank you to all who jumped on board yesterday, and a special thanks to those who have loyally followed us these last two years. Thanks again!!!

3. Mom's Night Out. Bedford High School is sponsoring "Mom's Night Out" on May 8, from 6-8 p.m., in the Bedford High School Commons. A variety of crafts, culinary delights and vendors will be on hand for shopping and an enticing raffle table as well. Shop for Mother's Day or yourself! All vendors' fees and raffle sales will go to benefit the Bedford High School Faculty Scholarship Fund.

5. Get Money Smart! The Bedford Public Library hosts its final event in a series of financially-focused programs with Saint Anselm College Associate Professor John Romps on Thursday, May 2, from 7-9 p.m. Money Smart Week: The Current Economy and You is intended to will enlighten and update us about what’s going on in the economic world. Romps is a very engaging speaker whose main areas of teaching are economics, money and banking, investments and economic history. He is a forensic economist and his area of research is NH banking.
