- On Monday, the Manchester Police Department announced the arrest of a 25-year-old Manchester man for the death of his seven-year-old son. Murtadah Mohammad's son died from severe burns his father allegedly inflicted as a form of discipline. Mohammad was arrested on charges of assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and falsifying physical evidence for the case. (Scallywag & Vagabond)
- Three months ago, New Hampshire agreed to cover basic dental care for adults on Medicaid, but only 15 percent of the state's dentists have signed on. Almost half of the providers taking part in the New Hampshire Smiles Program have set limits, with some only taking five patients and others wanting more time before they take any. These limitations could cause significant frustration for the 21,000 adults on Medicaid that the state expects to take advantage of the new program. (NHPR)
- The City of Manchester Fire Department ask locals for their opinion on its services. Responses will be anonymous and will help the department develop a Master Plan. If you wish to give your insight, you can do so here until 5:00 p.m. on Jul. 14. (City of Manchester, NH Of Economic Development)
