Here are the top three stories in Manchester today:

  1. On Monday, Jun. 19, Republican State Senator Keith Murphy, of Manchester, turned himself in to law enforcement and was charged with two counts of simple assault and one count of criminal threatening. An employee at Murphy's Manchester restaurant told police that Murphy slapped and spit on him during an argument in April. Manchester Police also said Murphy is on surveillance video picking up a chair “in an aggressive manner” during the incident. On Tuesday, Jun. 20, Murphy was released on personal recognizance bail and said he is innocent of the charges. (NBC News)
  2. A Manchester man has been arrested and charged in an alleged solar panel scam. According to investigators, a resident in York County, Maine, paid Robert Nigra $33,000 to install panels at their home. But Nigra stopped responding to the victims once the money was paid and had given them a fake business address. Nigra was found and arrested in New Jersey. (WMUR)
  3. On Jun. 21, Avelo Airlines landed its first flight in Manchester. The airline will now offer nonstop service between Manchester and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, on Thursdays and Sundays. (WMUR)
