• SNHU GM Tim Bechert steps down after 25 years, will focus on ‘community endeavors' (inklink.news) — SNHU Arena’s longtime general manager Tim Bechert has stepped down after 25 years, closing a chapter that many credit with helping revive downtown Manchester’s economy and nightlife. He reflects warmly on launching the arena in 2001, its role in drawing major events and visitors, and says he now plans to focus on community-oriented work in the city he thanks for its support.
   

• Catholic Charities NH to mark 80th Anniversary with special ‘Sweetheart Ball' (inklink.news) — Catholic Charities NH is celebrating its 80th anniversary with a Sweetheart Ball at the DoubleTree by Hilton in downtown Manchester on February 14. The gala will feature dinner, dancing, auctions, and raffles, with proceeds supporting programs that help New Hampshire residents facing poverty, homelessness, hunger, and mental health challenges. Local businesses can also get involved through sponsorships and advertisements.
   

• John Stephen returns to State House after suffering cardiac event (wmur.com) — Executive Councilor John Stephen, a Republican from Manchester, is back at the State House after suffering a serious cardiac event in Florida shortly after Thanksgiving. He says he’s grateful for bipartisan support from New Hampshire residents and plans to ease back into full duties while continuing to consult with his cardiologist.
