• Manchester, NH – Pedestrian Injured in Crash at Bridge St & Chestnut St (localaccidentreports.com) — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at Bridge Street and Chestnut Street in downtown Manchester around 6:14 p.m. on January 9, briefly disrupting traffic while emergency crews responded. The driver stayed at the scene, and officials are still investigating what caused the collision, while the pedestrian’s exact condition has not been released. 
• High number of NH households lack emergency savings (vnews.com) — Manchester households are struggling more than most in New Hampshire, with 32% lacking even $2,000 in emergency savings and about 95% of lower-income residents spending over 30% of their income on housing. Rising rents, especially a 31% jump for a typical two-bedroom, and below-average incomes are squeezing local budgets and leaving many families one unexpected bill away from crisis.
• Lacy Long, 77, of Manchester, New Hampshire (wkdzradio.com) — Manchester is mourning the passing of longtime resident and theater enthusiast Lacy Eugene Long, who moved here in 1975 and was active with The New Thalian Players of Manchester and The Community Players of Concord. The 77-year-old Oklahoma native, known for his warmth and humor, requested no formal services, but friends will be invited to an Evening of Remembrance, with donations suggested to the Community Players of Concord.
