- Authorities in Hillsborough County are actively searching for Elise Poirier, who fled from deputies and jumped into the Merrimack River over a week ago. Credible sightings of Poirier in the Manchester area have been reported, leading detectives to believe she may still be alive. Given her connections to the local homeless community, authorities are focusing their search efforts on known gathering spots and residences. (Patch)
- On Thursday, swimmers were warned to avoid Manchester's Crystal Lake due to elevated levels of E. coli detected by the city health department. The officials advised against swimming until the bacteria levels decrease, after which the water will be reopened to the public. As of Friday, the lake was reopened to the public. Weekly water sample results can be found here. (WMUR)
- Manchester is experiencing a housing boom as over 2,000 units are planned for downtown, addressing the state's severe housing shortage. The surge aims to attract businesses and create a vibrant community while tackling the need for 90,000 units by 2040. Affordable housing initiatives are also in place to provide accessible options for residents. (Manchester Ink Link)
