Don't Forget: Tax Bills Due Wednesday
Interest penalties will be assessed to late tax bills at a rate of 12 percent per annum.

Merrimack homeowners have until Wednesday, Dec. 18, to submit their tax bill payments without interest penalties.
Last month, the State Department of Revenue Administration confirmed the Town of Merrimack's 2013 property tax rate at $23.91 per $1,000 of assessed valuation. This represents an increase of 70 cents per thousand dollars of property valuation, compared to the 2012 rate of $23.21. The components of the 2012 and 2013 rates are presented in the chart pictured above.
With the new tax rate, a tax bill for a $300,000 home is $7,173 versus $6,963 paid on last year's tax rate. That's an increase of $210.
Tax bills can be paid in person at the Merrimack Town Hall, 6 Baboosic Lake Road, they can be mailed or they can be paid online at the town website. The town clerk/tax collector's office is open Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Any resident with questions on their property tax assessment should contact the Assessing Department at (603) 424-5136. For any other tax-related question, please call the Town Clerk/Tax Collector’s office at (603) 424-3651.
