Light Snow Could Make for Slippery Morning Commute

Proposed school budget of $68.7 million presented; volunteers needed to serve on town boards.

Light snow this morning: Some light snow that could deliver around an inch could make the morning commute a little slippery so take it slow on your way to work.

School budget presented: Members of the Merrimack School Board presented their proposed 2014-2015 budget of more than $68.7 million to the public on Wednesday night that calls for a 2.63 percent increase over this year's school budget.

Volunteers needed: Several town boards and committees need members of the community who wish to volunteer their time and expertise. The openings are listed on the town's web site. If interested, please contact the Town Manager's office.

Need to get rid of your Christmas tree: The town's Transfer Station will continue to accept Christmas trees in the brush pile free of charge for residents who need a place to dispose of their trees.
