Severe Storms Saturday Make Way For Warm July 4 Holiday Weekend In NH

A few scattered storms could be in the cards, but warm weather in the upper 90s and sunshine should be the key players heading into July 4.

MERRIMACK, NH — Summer is officially here - and it sure feels like it. Warmer temperatures are a regular thing and it's finally warm enough for a dip in the ocean, pool or pond - which may come in handy this holiday weekend.

It's expected to get really hot on Friday - with highs in the mid to upper 90s for most of New Hampshire. Mix in a hefty amount of humidity, and we're looking at a heat index of almost 100.

A cold front is expected to sweep in on Saturday with a chance of showers in the afternoon and evening. Because of this, the National Weather Service is issuing a Hazardous Weather Outlook for all of New Hampshire as the cold front is likely to bring in strong to severe thunderstorms Saturday.
