Town Council Budget Review Continues This Week

Merrimack School Board to meet Tuesday night; volunteers needed to serve on town boards.

MLK Day is today: Monday, Jan. 20 is Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Day, which is a federal holiday that honors the legacy of the slain Civil Rights leader. The Town Offices, Merrimack schools and several businesses will be closed.

Town Council continues budget review:
The Merrimack Town Council will hold budget review meetings on Monday at 6 p.m. at the Town Offices and again on Thursday at 7 p.m. to look at the proposed 2014 proposed $30.7 million spending package. The proposed budget can be viewed on the town's web site.

Merrimack School Board meeting: The Merrimack School Board will meet on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Offices. The agenda can be viewed on the SAU 26 web site.

Volunteers needed: Several town boards and committees need members of the community who wish to volunteer their time and expertise. The openings are listed on the town's web site. If interested, please contact the Town Manager's office.

Need to get rid of your Christmas tree: The town's Transfer Station will continue to accept Christmas trees in the brush pile free of charge for residents who need a place to dispose of their trees.

School bus drivers needed:
The Merrimack Schools are also seeking some part-time school bus drivers. More details can be found here.
