Food Festival, Auction Raises More Than $238k To Help Nashua Families

NASHUA, NH — The Front Door Agency's most recent fundraiser event and auction raised more than $238,000 to support the organization's mission to end homelessness and support single mothers in Nashua.

Over 300 supporters gathered at Nashua Country Club to enjoy food from the 18 local chefs and participating restaurants while bidding on auction items. The event was the most successful fundraiser in The Front Door Agency's 35-year history. The money raised will serve 1,000 people in Greater Nashua this year through the agency's four programs, including a Transformational Housing Program for single mothers working to become self-sufficient. In addition, one mother was awarded a $10,000 academic scholarship by the organization to pursue her degree in Safety Management.

“We are grateful to everyone who contributed to the event’s success, especially the local chefs who, after being hit hard by the pandemic, were still willing to donate their time and resources to support our mission," said The Front Door Agency CEO Maryse Wirbal.

The festival's participating vendors and restaurants included: Bertucci’s, The Bistro at the Event Center at the Courtyard by Marriott, Celebrations Catering, Cupcakez 101, Djinn Spirits, D’Lites & Bites, MT’s Local Kitchen/Surf/Buckley’s Great Steaks, Nashua Community College, Nashua Country Club, Odd Fellows Brewing Co., Pine State Beverage, Soel Sistas, SoHo Asian Restaurant & Bar, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits of NE, Stella Blu, Stones Social, Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream and The Utopian.
