Hudson Man Accused Of Pointing Firearm At Firefighters Evacuating Him
Daniel Herbert, 30, was inside a burning building when he is accused of pointing a firearm at Hudson firefighters during a 3-alarm fire.

HUDSON, NH - Hudson Police have arrested a man accused of pointing a firearm at firefighters evacuating a burning apartment building.
Firefighters responded to alarms sounding at the Hudson Garden Aparments on Charles Street Sunday at about 10:30 p.m. While en route, they were advised of a fire in an apartment and, upon arrival, began evacuating the building.
Firefighters were confronted by Daniel Herbert, 30 of Hudson, who police say pulled a firearm from his waistband and pointed it at firefighters and refused to leave.

Emergency personnel immediately retreated to a safe distance and contacted the police. Officers from the Hudson Police Department were notified of the incident and located Hebert walking around the exterior of the building. According to police, Hebert was swiftly and successfully arrested without further incident.
Hebert is currently facing two felony counts of criminal threatening with a deadly weapon and two misdemeanor counts of obstructing government administration.

He was held on Preventative Detention and will be arraigned at the 9th Circuit Court in Nashua on Monday.
The fire went to three alarms and caused extensive damage to the building, and the American Red Cross is assisting 22 displaced residents. Crews rescued one occupant using a ladder, and it is unclear if they suffered any injuries.
