NASHUA, NH — City officials and a New Hampshire museum are teaming up to celebrate the two year anniversary of Creative Union, a combination of art creation, historical acknowledgment, and diversity.

Creative Union was a partnership between the city and the Currier Museum of Art to highlight the city’s diversity, rich history, and vital spirit. Elisa Hamilton, a multimedia artist from Boston, Massachusetts, spent the spring and summer last year leading workshops and collaborative projects in the city. Those pieces include decorations, paper sculptures, and other items.

Between 5 and 8 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday, the event will showcase many of the works of art created during the experience.

“We are so thrilled to finally display and celebrate all of the joyful art that our participants made with us over the past two years,” Bruce McColl, the director of engagement for the Currier Museum of Art, said. “Mayor Donchess and the city of Nashua have been such champions of this project from the start, and we couldn’t be more excited to have this final event right outside city hall.”

There will be live performances, food trucks, artmaking, and a dance party on Saturday to kick off the festivities.
