Cause of December 6-alarm Nashua fire is undetermined (unionleader.com) — Investigators say the cause of last month’s devastating six-alarm Ash Street fire in Nashua remains undetermined because structural damage blocked access to the suspected origin area. The blaze destroyed a large apartment building, heavily damaged a nearby commercial property, and left several residents with minor injuries, and officials now expect 108-110 Ash St. will likely need to be demolished.
   

2. Former Nashua Mayor Appointed as Director of Rural Health Program (mykeenenow.com) — A former Nashua mayor, Donnalee Lozeau, has been tapped by Gov. Kelly Ayotte to run GO-NORTH, the new office managing $204 million to expand rural health care across New Hampshire. Lozeau, a longtime Nashua public servant and nonprofit leader, will oversee efforts to improve access, technology, and workforce development in rural communities from a Concord-based role.
   

3. High school roundup: Lucier scores 5 goals in Trinity boys hockey's win over Bedford (unionleader.com) — Nashua high school hockey fans will want to know that the North/South co-op team fell 5-2 to Windham, despite a solid effort against the Jaguars. The same roundup highlights standout performances across Division I, including Trinity’s Tristan Lucier scoring five goals in a win over Bedford.
   

4. Recent Georgetown graduate gained ground in New Hampshire local politics (georgetownvoice.com) — A young Nashua native, Tony Labranche, mounted a last-minute write-in campaign for Nashua City Council after recovering from oral cancer and hearing of efforts to criminalize homelessness. His intense, low-budget door-knocking push won 25% of the vote and spotlighted concerns over the city’s camping ban, while setting the stage for another possible run representing his district.
