3rd 'Hoofy's Fall Fest' Set To Honor Late Barnegat Officer

BARNEGAT, NJ — The third annual Hoofy's Fall Fest is set to honor the late Barnegat police officer.

Alex Hoffman, or "Hoofy," died on Oct. 2, 2019, after suffering a medical episode while off-duty, working his second job in Lakewood. Read More: Grief For Barnegat Police Officer Who Died Off-Duty

Since then, the community has organized Hoofy's Fall Fest as a way to memorialize Hoffman and to raise money for the Alex Hoffman Memorial Scholarship Fund.

A day of fun for the family is planned for the third annual fest on Oct. 22, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

There will be food trucks, vendors, a beer garden, a 50/50, gift auction, live music and kids activities.

Hoofy's Fall Fest was organized by officers Tim Bradshaw and Lauren Keilitz, both of whom worked closely with Hoffman, Patch previously reported.
