‘Adopt-A-Street’ Program Cleaned Up Over 50 Streets In Barnegat

Adopt-A-Street held their largest town-wide cleanup yet on Saturday, with volunteers removing trash from 53 streets in Barnegat.

BARNEGAT, NJ — The Adopt-A-Street program held their largest town-wide cleanup yet on Saturday, with volunteers removing trash from 53 streets in Barnegat.

“We had cub scouts, boy scouts, girl scouts, daisies, NJHS, as well as businesses, individuals and families from our community," said program coordinator Michele Cucinotta. "We have over 53 streets adopted and we hope to grow this program every year."

The program hosts two town-wide cleanups each year. The next cleanup will take place in the fall.

However, new members don’t need to wait until then to get involved with the program. Volunteers can adopt streets at any time and keep them clean throughout the year.
