Affordable Apartment Complex Sets Fall Opening In Manahawkin
Cornerstone at Grassy Hollow II, offering 34 apartments, is on track to open this November, according to Barnegat-based developer Walters.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — A new affordable apartment complex is set to open this fall in Manahawkin, according to its developers.
Construction is on track for Cornerstone at Grassy Hollow II to open this November, according to Barnegat-based developer Walters. The initial housing lottery for the new income-restricted apartment community at 200 Back Road in Manahawkin closed this month.
The development will offer 34 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments in two buildings. The first building is expected to be completed by mid-Sept. 2024, with the second to follow.

“Creating high-quality affordable housing that meets the needs of residents is a real positive for this beautiful community of Manahawkin,” said Joe Del Duca, partner and director of affordable housing for Walters.
In addition to managing the property, Walters will be providing on-site supportive services to help residents. Residents can take advantage of year-round resources such as after-school programs, special interest clubs, career readiness, a food pantry program, eviction prevention and social services assistance.

Developers said that Cornerstone at Grassy Hollow II will feature a wealth of amenities such as a state-of-the-art fitness center, a children's tot lot, a basketball court and a community clubhouse with computer workstations. Apartments are equipped with in-unit washers/dryers.
