Barnegat-Manahawkin Dad 'Always Makes Time To Play With Me,' Son Says

BARNEGAT-MANAHAWKIN, NJ— Father's Day is the perfect time to give a big thanks to all the dads who put smiles on our faces. Barnegat-Manahawkin, meet Frank Horner.

If you know a dad who sends sweet, silly or thoughtful texts your way, you’re pretty lucky. Texts from Dad have a way of putting a smile on our faces — and this Father’s Day, we’re celebrating the fathers behind the phones!

What makes your dad extra special?

My daddy being in a wheelchair does not stop him from helping me grow. My daddy is my assistant T-ball coach, he pitches to me, goes bowling with me, and takes me for rides on his wheelchair! Even after working full time, no matter how tired he is, he always makes time to play with me.

Why do you feel your dad deserves the spotlight?

He teaches me things, helps me grow, encourages me in not giving up, and most of all takes me to play baseball everyday at all different fields — even after work!
