Barnegat Police Suspend Search For Robbery Suspect: Police
Barnegat Police called off a search for a robbery suspect after a thorough investigation determined the suspect was no longer in the area.
BARNEGAT, NJ — The Barnegat Township Police Department called off a search for a robbery suspect after a thorough investigation determined the suspect was no longer in the area.
Barnegat police launched the initial search Monday around 6:30 p.m. near the area of 141 Barnegat Blvd.
Police searched the area using K9, drone, thermal imaging and evaluating video footage from nearby security systems, police said.

Police identified the suspect as a short, white male with red hair wearing a Carhartt and boots. The subject was not armed, police said.
