Discounted Adoptions For Adopt A Shelter Pet Day At Southern Ocean Facility
The Southern Ocean County Animal Facility, currently over capacity, has half-price adoptions available on Adopt a Shelter Pet Day.
BARNEGAT, NJ — Looking to bring home your newest furry friend? The Southern Ocean County Animal Facility is overflowing with pets and you can find your next dog or cat for half-price for National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day.
The two-day event on April 29 and 30 will take place at the temporary shelter located at 20 Collingstown Road in Barnegat. The shelter has been at this location since late February for repairs and renovations.
Not only will pet parents pay only half-price for adoptions, they will get a goodie bag too.

The temporary Barnegat shelter is currently over capacity and when they move back to Manahawkin there will be more dogs than kennels, the Friends of Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter said.
You can visit the shelter from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday to meet your next pet. You can also call the shelter at 609-978-0127 for additional information regarding available pets and the adoption process. Available pets can also be seen here.
