
BARNEGAT TOWNSHIP, NJ - Eight residents are running for the three, three-years terms on the Barnegat Board of Education.
The race has been overshadowed by the current board's decision not to renew schools Superintendent Karen Woods contract.
Incumbents Maria Pereira, 68 First Street,and Robert Geddes, 10 Brixam Corner, are seeking another term on the board.

They are being challenged by six people, who include:-

- H.E. "Tripp" Rogers - 151 Ravenwood Boulevard
- Richard Quelch - 151 Route 72 East
- Jaime Feola - 77 Georgetown Boulevard
- Patti Deem Robbins - 11 Bayberry Court
- Doreen Continanza - 100 Rockrimmon Boulevard
The polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
