Long Beach Island 2017 Sex Offender Halloween Safety Map

There are two, Tier II sex offenders on the island, according to the New Jersey State Police sex offender registry

LONG BEACH ISLAND, NJ - Before the kids go out trick or treating on Halloween, it's a good time to take inventory of who is living in your neighborhood.

There are two registered sex offenders living on the island. Long Beach Island has six towns - Barnegat Light, Harvey Cedars, Surf City, Long Beach Township, Ship Bottom and Beach Haven.

One of the offenders lives in Surf City. The other lives in Long Beach township. Both are Tier II offenders, which means they are at moderate risk of committing another offense, according to New Jersey's Megan's Law

Convicted sex offenders must register while they are till incarcerated. They must notify the police department of the town they are planning to move in to upon their release.
