Manahawkin 2017 Sex Offender Halloween Safety Map

MANAHAWKIN, NJ - Before the kids go out trick or treating on Halloween, it's a good time to take inventory of who is living in your neighborhood.

There are 8 registered sex offenders in the Manahawkin area, including one from nearby West Creek. Three of the registrants are living in the Manahawkin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Route 72.

They are all Tier II offenders, which means they are at moderate risk of committing another offense, according to New Jersey's Megan's Law.

There are no Tier III offenders in the area.

Convicted sex offenders must register while they are till incarcerated. They must notify the police department of the town they are planning to move in to upon their release.
