New Season Of 'Survivor' Features Ocean County Native
Season 47 of the hit CBS show will feature Teeny Chirichillo, a 24-year-old Manahawkin native, competing for the title of "Sole Survivor."

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — An Ocean County native is hoping to "outwit, outplay and outlast" on the upcoming 47th season of the hit CBS show "Survivor."
Teeny Chirichillo, 24, is one 18 castaways competing to be the "Sole Survivor" and win $1 million on the new season of the show, CBS announced this week.
According to her bio from CBS, Chirichillo's hometown and current residence are both Manahawkin. She is a freelance writer.

"I grew up dressing like a boy," Chirichillo explains in her introductory video, saying how she has been developing her "social game" since she was young.
"That really taught me how to befriend any type of personality," she said, adding that in college she was also surrounded by people in sororities and then worked with "alpha male sales bro personalities" in the tech industry. Chirichillo said she knows how to get along with everybody and even get people she doesn't like to like her.

"The energy I'll bring forth is a pickpocket from the 'Oliver Twist' universe," she said. "Stealing their hearts, their trust, their spot in the final three. And before they know it, they've voted for me and I won."
Other contestants this season include "Pod Save America" co-host and former Obama speechwriter Jon Lovett, an AI research assistant, a flight school owner and more.
Season 47 of "Survivor" premieres on CBS with a two-hour episode on Sept. 18 at 8 p.m. Hosted by Jeff Probst, the show is also available to stream on Paramount+.
