More Overnight Closures Set For Route 72 In Stafford: NJDOT
Beginning Wednesday night, expect closures as the Plowed Road to Doc Cramer Boulevard pavement preservation project is underway.

STAFFORD, NJ — Drivers should expect more overnight closures this week as more work is done on Route 72 in Stafford.
Route 72 is scheduled to have temporary overnight lane closures beginning Wednesday as the Route 72, Plowed Road to Doc Cramer Boulevard pavement preservation project begins in Burlington and Ocean counties, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said in a news release.
Beginning at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 29 until 6 a.m. May 30 and continuing Thursday at the same times, there will be temporary lane closures with a moving operation to remove raised pavement markers (RPMs) and striping between Plowed Road in Woodland, Burlington County and Doc Cramer Boulevard in Stafford Overnight paving is expected to begin on approximately June 10 and take place Monday through Thursday nights. At least one lane will be maintained in each direction overnight. No work will take place Friday through Sunday.

The work is part of a $6.2 million pavement preservation project that will utilize Chip Seal and Slurry Seal to preserve 10 miles of the roadway in both directions between Mile Posts 6 to 13 in Woodland and Barnegat, and 18.5 to 21.7 in Stafford. The project is expected to be completed by the end of this summer, according to the DOT.
