Mother’s Day Auction To Benefit Nonprofit In So. Ocean County

BARNEGAT, NJ — Family Promise of Southern Ocean County is hosting a virtual Mother’s Day auction to raise money for the nonprofit.

The virtual auction features new household appliances, designer purses and restaurant gift cards. Bidding ends Friday, April 30 at 8 p.m.

According to their website, all of the donations spent on winning bids will go straight toward the families that Family Promise of Southern Ocean County serves.

The nonprofit currently helps over 100 families in its Anchors to Stay Prevention Program.

The program provides short-term financial assistance to stabilize families facing a short-term financial crisis. All program participants are required to engage in programming services and financial literacy education.

There are four families in the nonprofit’s shelter program at the moment with a growing waiting list.

The auction can be viewed online, and people can make separate donations here. All donations and winning bids are tax deductible.
