New Speed Limits On These Manahawkin Roads: Police
The updates were made following a traffic study by Ocean County Engineering.
MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Speed limits have been updated on two Stafford Township roads, police announced Monday.
According to police:
- East Bay Avenue is now standardized to 35 MPH from end to end, including the stretch between the Yacht Club and Island Breeze, which was previously 40 MPH.
- Cedar Run Dock Road from Route 9 to First Avenue has been reduced from 40 MPH to 35 MPH. From First Avenue to the boat ramp, the Eagleswood section of Cedar Run Dock Road is also posted at 35 MPH.
The updates were made following a traffic study by Ocean County Engineering, police said.

The study was done in coordination with Stafford Township, citing increased traffic, pedestrian, and bicycle activity. The changes were adopted by township ordinance, with signage installed by the Ocean County Road Department.
"Please observe the new posted limits and travel safely," police said.
