'Over Capacity' Manahawkin Shelter In Need Of Adopters
The Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter has more dogs than kennels, with more coming in every day.
MANAHAWKIN, NJ — If you're looking to grow your family by four legs, now is the time to do so. The Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter is reporting that it's "over capacity" and in need of adopters.
"We have more pups than kennels and there are more dogs coming in everyday!" the facility shared on Facebook.
So many dogs are available for adoption, from two-month-old lab mix puppies to a seven-year-old German Shepherd.

Many cats and kittens are also available for adoption, if felines are more your style.
Those interested in adopting a new pet can visit the Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter at 360 Haywood Road in Manahawkin. The facility is open daily from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. You can see the available adoptables here.
