There will be lane and shoulder closures on June 27 and 28, New Jersey Department of Transportation officials said.

STAFFORD, NJ — Expect Route 72 closures this week as New Jersey Department of Transportation continues the Route 72, Old South Broadway to Marsha Drive project.
From 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. June 27, the left lane on Route 72 eastbound near the Mill Creek Road intersection is scheduled to be closed, the NJDOT said.
On June 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the left lane on Route 72 eastbound and westbound is scheduled to be closed. The closures are necessary for median crosswalk work near Mill Creek Road, the NJDOT said.

Additionally, the right shoulder on Route 72 in both directions is scheduled to be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 27 and June 28 near the Stafford Square shopping center and Jennings Road for curb and sidewalk work, officials said.
The work is part of a $2.4 million pavement preservation project that will resurface approximately three miles of Route 72 in both directions from the Stafford Square shopping center to just west of Marsha Drive in Stafford using an Ultra-Thin High Performance overlay. Work is scheduled to take place Mondays through Thursdays, with paving taking place overnight beginning in July. The project is expected to be complete by the end of this summer.
