What drove you to seek public office?
As a parent with children in this district, I've experienced firsthand the challenges families can face navigating the special education process. I know how it feels to sit in a meeting and want the very best for your child, to hope your voice is truly heard. Those experiences have inspired me to run for the Board of Education, so I can help ensure that every family feels supported, valued, and included in the decisions that shape their child's education.
What sets you apart from other candidates?
To my knowledge, I am the only candidate, both current and running, who still has children in the Stafford district. I love being an active member of my school community, volunteering and participating in as many events as I can throughout the year.
What is the most pressing issue facing the Stafford Township School District?
Staffing and retention of staff.
If elected, what will your top priority be?
I'd like to suggest that we consider adding full time teacher's assistant positions, especially in the special education classrooms to address student - teacher ratios and where consistency is key to the students' success. I believe this could make a meaningful impact on staff support, student's progress and safety.
What is your favorite thing about living in Stafford?
My favorite thing about living in Stafford is the way the community supports and rallies behind families in need. I also enjoy being near the beach.
