Stafford Township Hosts Gun Take Back
The Stafford Township Police, with the Ocean County Prosecutors Office, is holding take back for residents wishing to dispose of firearms.

STAFFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ - For anyone looking for a safe way to dispose of your firearms, make sure to visit Stafford Police Department this Saturday, October 20, according to the Stafford Township Facebook page. The police department, in conjunction with the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office, will be holding a gun take back for safe disposal of unwanted guns.
As this is a gun take back, there won't be any money exchanged or amnesty given for illegal weapons. The gun take back is set up to help individuals who own firearms a safe way to have them destroyed.
Anyone bringing a firearm should make sure the gun is safe and unloaded before bringing it to the event. Complete background checks will be performed on all weapons turned in and people should bring proper identification with them.
