Students’ Letters Result in a Tour of TGI Fridays

Stafford Intermediate School students recently wrote business letters to companies in the community as part of a Language Arts assignment in George Opalenik’s class.

Two of his students received letters from Tina Nelson, the General Manager of Stafford’s local TGI Friday’s on Rt. 72. She also enclosed coupons and gift certificates for the two students who wrote the letters. All of the students were excited by the response.

Opalenik immediately called Friday’s and personally thanked the general manager and he also sent an email to Friday’s corporate headquarters on her behalf. As a result, the GM was recognized within the organization.

In appreciation, she offered the class a tour of Friday’s, so they could see how the operation runs.
