Friends of Colleen Roche, who was killed in a wrong-way crash on New Year's Day, are raising money to help her family.

BARNEGAT, NJ — Friends of the Barnegat Township woman who was killed in a wrong-way crash on New Year's Day are raising money to help her family.

Colleen Roche, 61, died Friday after the crash, where a driver traveling the wrong way on the northbound Garden State Parkway struck her vehicle near mile marker 68. The accident took place at 7:45 a.m. and killed both drivers, State Police said.

“2021 did not start off the way any of us planned,” organizer Ashley Singer wrote on the GoFundMe page. “The world lost a beautiful, loving, and caring individual yesterday in a serious accident! As friends and colleagues of Colleen, we would like to show our condolences by setting up a go fund me account to help ease any financial stressors that may arise during this difficult time for her family!”
