Universal Supply Fire Preliminarily Ruled As Accident

STAFFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ - The fire at the Universal Supply in Stafford Township on Wednesday has been ruled preliminarily as an accident, according to the Stafford Police.
The assistant manager at Universal Supply suffered from smoke inhalation and was treated on the scene. No other injuries have been reported, according to the Stafford Police.
Police and fire departments were alerted to the burning building around 5 p.m. The fire was put out and the Ocean County Fire Marshall’s Office, Ocean County Sheriff’s Department, and Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Arson Unit were called on scene to investigate.

The fire was deemed as accidental, but the Stafford Township Bureau of Fire Prevention, the Ocean County Fire Marshall’s Office, and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office are still investigating.
