The event, held last weekend, was a great success, historical society president says

A Letter to the Editor from Adele R. Shaw, President of the Waretown Historical Society

I just wanted to send out a great big thank you to everyone who helped make our annual Candlelight Ghost Tour such a success. Because of your help and generosity, we received $525 dollars towards our Scholarship fund!

Many thanks to the Waretown Police Department for sending an officer to assist our guests in crossing the street.

Bill Rott, as always, thanks so much for your donations of refreshments and apple cider for the event, as well as your assistance with the bright flashlight.

Ron Trinder also helped with flashlights, assisting people to cross the street, and keeping the tour together in the dark as we went along.

Anne Gerken, Fay Sprague, Jean Bunnell, and Aiden O'Hearn checked in all of our registered guests at the ticket table.

Sarah LaVoie and Dianne Burdette helped with the Lanterns and flickering tea lights that give the tour such great atmosphere.

The Eskilsons were also helpful in getting us permission to use the Methodist Church parking lot again this year.
And thanks so much to all of you who attended, and made the evening so much fun. Thanks for your questions and your interest in the fascinating history of our area.

And thanks as well to our many repeat guests, who join us year after year for the event.

If you missed out this year, please plan on coming next year. Watch for the information.
Have a safe, fun, and Happy Halloween. Watch for updates on our plans for Christmas!
