'We Will Always Be A Family Of 8,' Says Grieving Family
Southern Ocean County communities chip in to help family who lost their oldest son, a Pinelands Regional student, on Oct. 31
LITTLE EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP - Teddy Marousis was a good big brother.
"As the oldest of six children, anytime Teddy could do anything for one of his siblings, he did not hesitate," the GoFundMe post set up for the family of the Pinelands Regional student who died suddenly on Oct. 31 states.
The account was set up by to ask for help with funeral expenses for the 14-year-old boy.

"I had the pleasure of having Teddy in my class," one of his teachers wrote. "I will always remember his beautiful smile and loving personality. I am so saddened by this news. My sincere love and condolences to Teddy's family at this difficult time."
Teddy was a ninth-grader at Pinelands Regional High School. He was enjoying a Halloween party when he suddenly collapsed, his cousin Donna Marie Bamond said. "We don't know what the cause is yet."

The entire family is devastated, she said.
"He was always so helpful with his siblings and dogs," she said. "If someone took him to the toy store, he wanted to get something for his siblings - never himself. A true angel."
Teddy became ill at school on Tuesday. He was taken to Southern Ocean County Medical Center in Manahawkin, where he died.
"Anyone who knew Teddy could attest to the fact that he was always the first one to greet someone with the largest smile and hug," the GoFundMe posts states. "He had a remarkable way of making someone feel special. His selflessness and loving is going to be sorely missed by all who had been privileged to know him."
As of Thursday morning, $6,541 of the $10,000 GoFundMe goal had been raised by 113 people in only 13 hours.
"No parent should have to buy their 14-year-old child, so anything that could be given to help the family with the all the burdensome costs at this more than arduous time would be greatly appreciated, " the post states.
