Basking Ridge Renews Shared Court Agreement With 3 Neighboring Towns

Bernards Township renewed its shared services agreement to share court with Bedminster, Peapack & Gladstone, and Bernardsville through 2028.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Bernards Township has renewed its shared service agreement to share municipal court with neighboring towns Bedminster, Peapack and Gladstone, and Bernardsville.

The Township Committee unanimously approved the resolution at the Dec. 23 meeting.

"The Township Committee of the Township of Bernards finds it to be in the best interest of the Township and its residents to enter into this Shared Services Agreement with Peapack-Gladstone, Bernardsville, and Bedminster for the establishment and operation of a shared municipal court," according to the resolution.

The Shared Services Agreement establishes a shared municipal court and provides for the sharing of court facilities and court staff, including the municipal judge, court administrators, other court employees, prosecutors, public defender,s and security personnel.
