Route 202 Bridge Due to Reopen Monday
After bringing in giant chunks of steel, stone and concrete and laying pieces of a prefabricated bridge into place along Route 202 at the Bernards Township-Harding Township border, the small bridge is due to be open again to traffic on Monday. The the following weekend to allow the final phase of the $3 million state project. Patch captured some of the big trucks at the scene.

Now that residents finally have a chance to speak on the issue of the Millington Quarry during a series of hearings they have their own view of what the quarry should look like, and how it should be brought back to usable land, after it finally closes. Next scheduled meeting before is Oct. 2.
Bernardsville SWAT Case Rescheduled Again; Now Monday, Aug. 27
This was the third time an appearance in Bernardsville municipal court to answer a disorderly persons summons was moved back for Samuel Medway, accused of being at the center of a standoff with authorities on June 7 that grew into an incident in which the county SWAT team was called to Anderson Hill Road in Bernardsville. After a few hours, Medway, 44, gave himself up without incident. He was scheduled to appear this past Monday, but a court employee said Medway's appearance had been moved back another week.
